Responsibilities
As an advertising account executive, you'll need to:
- Achieve Revenue Goals.
- Prospect local businesses.
- Meet with clients to discuss and identify their advertising needs.
- Create an advertising campaign that meets the client's needs.
- Present the campaign ideas to the client.
- Present creative work to clients for approval or modification.
- Undertake administrative tasks and arrange and attend meetings.
- Collect any outstanding invoices.
Working Hours
- A typical week will run from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. However, you'll often be expected to start the day early or stay late in order to meet deadlines.
- Weekend work is rare. However, there are a few events you will be required to help with.
What to Expect
- You will handle multiple accounts and will deal with different types of business owners with different needs.
- You will spend most of your day traveling from business to business, talking with clients within the working day.
- You will spend time creating advertising campaigns and presenting them to clients.
- You will work with clients to create commercials for their business.
- The working environment is a business professional, and a business dress code is the norm.
Qualifications
Although this area of work is open to all, the following subjects may improve your chances:
