“Book Fair for Go Big Give & Jack Grange Memorial Challenge” On Thursday, May 1 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM the Friends of Grand Island Public Library will host a Book Fair which will be open to the public. The Book Fair will be in the daily Book Sale area at the library and in the Art Alcove. Volunteers will be on site to make a larger than normal selection of used books available during the Book Fair, as well as new merchandise. Shoppers will be able to purchase a t-shirt vinyl and then schedule a time to press it onto a t-shirt that they purchase elsewhere. Specialty and artisan book marks will be available for purchase. Local bookmark artists include Lillian Cronin and Nancy Jones. All merchandise is while limited supply lasts. The Chocolate Bar will be providing drip coffee and treats for patrons that morning. Be sure and stop for lunch with Hit the Spot food truck in the library parking lot from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, because they will be donating a portion of their sales that day. Friends of the Library will be donating their proceeds from the day’s activities to the Grand Island Public Library Foundation for Go Big Give. Please help us earn the Jack Grange Memorial Challenge Grant for Go Big Give! Jack was a beloved member of the Grand Island Community and the library. His sister Cass, has generously agreed to donate an additional $5,000 to the Grand Island Public Library Foundation during Go Big Give if we can raise $10,000! We hope we can count on our donors, supporters, patrons, volunteers and followers to help us earn the $5,000 Challenge!
