911 Service Restored To Grand Island

Regional 911 system failures occurred yesterday evening across the state.

Emergency officials are working to address the issue and are in close contact with providers to resolve it.

Nebraskans are encouraged to monitor local media and their cell phones for alerts and instructions for alternative methods for reaching 911.

All telephone lines to the Grand Island 911 Center are restored. Emergency management officials ask you to Please use 911 only for emergencies only, and NOT TO TEST 911,
