A Disappointing DH for the Sodbusters

The Hastings Sodbusters entered Sunday's double header with some wiggle room to clinch the first half title in the Independence league. They left it needing help.
The Plainsmen picked up their first two wins in sweeping the Sodbusters 5-1 and 5-2.
In the openers, the Plainsmen plated for four unearned runs as part of a five run third. That was more than enough for Ben Reinker and Spencer Schmidt who limited the Sodbusters to just four hits.
The Hastings offense struggled again in game two, managing just three hits. Hastings also committed six errors in the double header.
Hastings is tied for first with Spearfish. Casper is a game and a half pack. The Sodbusters play at Casper for a three game series beginning on Tuesday. Spearfish hosts the Prospects for a four game series. If the Sasquatch sweep, they claim the first half title.
Coach Josh Prinner, who was also called into action as a player, spoke after the games. You can also hear a Sodbuster Spotlight the Graham Hylton.
