All Aboard for Stolley Park Reaches Fundraising Goal

The All Aboard for Stolley Park Campaign announced a final total of $812,148.92 on Thursday. The amount eclipses the 750 thousand dollar goal.

Becky and Tom Gdowski, and Corinna and Dan Naranjo served as campaign co-chairs. Jack Sheard helped spearhead the committee which headed the effort.

Major donors included the Bud and Gloria Wolbach Foundation, Steve and Jill Hornady, the Chief Foundation, the Eihusen Foundation, the Eakes family and the Peter Kiewit Foundation.

Keely Grass of Olsson and Associates laid out plans for the project.

The City of Grand Island will contribute over two million dollars to the effort which will make improvements in the Stolley Park Railroad area. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
