Aurora Repeats as Central Conference Champs
Aurora held Adams Central scoreless for almost a quarter and half and held on for a 44-36 win in the Central Conference Championship game. Aurora took a 13-5 lead. Adams Central scored eight points on three possessions to tie the game after one. The Patriots didn't scored again until the 4:56 mark of the third quarter, but trailed by just nine at the time.
The Patriots got as close as four in the fourth quarter before Aurora secured the win. Jaxson Slagle scored 15. Cannon Allen added 13 for the Huskies who captured the title for the second straight year. It was the sixth conference tournament title since 2016.
