Beatrice Runs Away From Northwest Boys, 65-51

(Grand Island, NE) - The Beatrice Orangemen defeated the Northwest boys on Friday night, 65-51. Boston Crawford and Harrison Vetrovsky combined for 54 of the 65 for the Orangemen. 

Crawford would have five three pointers in the game, with four of them coming in the 2nd quarter to help Beatrice tie the game at the half, 27-27. Vetrovsky would rip off 20 points alone in the 2nd half. Northwest would trail 43-41 going into the 4th quarter. The Vikings offense would go stale as Beatrice would outscore Northwest 22-10 in the final quarter. 

Northwest would be led by Dawson Urbanski with 16 points and Jaden Brandt with 11. 

Beatrice is now 10-10 on the season. Northwest slips to 12-7. The Vikings will be back in action on Tuesday, February 17th, at Gretna. The girls' game will start at 5:00 pm, with the boys' game to follow at 6:45 pm. Listen to both games live on 103.1 FM & 2dayfm1031.com.
