Bridge closure on N-10, Kearney East Bridges project

June 26, 2025 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Starting Monday, June 30, weather permitting, the bridge over Interstate 80 (I-80) at Interchange 275 on State Highway 10 (N-10) will be closed for construction, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).

Iowa Civil Contracting, Inc., of Victor, Iowa, is the contractor for the project. Work includes applying a polyester polymer concrete (PPC) overlay to the bridge, along with repairs to the bridge expansion joints. 

The work is expected to take approximately three weeks. Traffic will be diverted to alternate routes during this time.

DETOUR DETAILS
Eastbound I-80 traffic: Motorists traveling eastbound on I-80 intending to access N-10 will be detoured by exiting at Interchange 279, then traveling westbound to Interchange 275 Southbound N-10 traffic: Drivers heading south on N-10 accessing eastbound I-80 will be detoured westbound from Interchange 275 to Interchange 272, where they will be able to return to eastbound I-80

Additionally, a 12-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
