Buffalo County Wraps Up “Make It Click” Safety Mobilization

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office recently completed a “Make it Click” Mobilization Selective Traffic Enforcement campaign throughout Buffalo County. The campaign was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Nebraska Department of Traffic Highway Safety Office. The activity was conducted from November 26 – November 30, 2025 with deputies accounting for 15 hours of additional coverage.

 Sheriff’s deputies made a total of 55 traffic contacts – 9 citations were issued for various traffic violations and 46 warning /defect cards were issued for various traffic infractions. During this campaign there were 3 arrests for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and 2 citations issued for a Safety Belt violations.

The primary objective of the campaign is to increase seat belt usage rates in Buffalo County, thereby reducing the risk of serious injuries and fatalities in traffic accidents. Seatbelts remain one of the easiest and most effective ways to reduce these risks.
