Dan Quick's LB721 Advanced at the Legislature

District 35 State Senator Dan Quick introduced LB 721 at the Nebraska Legislature this morning.

The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be accomplished thereby: LB721 allows existing intergenerational care facilities to apply for funds under the Intergenerational Care Facility Incentive Grant program for expansion costs. It also clarifies eligibility provisions to include all nursing homes, expanding access to existing grant program funds.

The current restrictions meant most of the allocated grant funds went unclaimed. Intergenerational care facilities are becoming more common. They feature child care and nursing home assistance at the same location. The bill advanced 36-0
