GI Home Federal Advances To The A7 Championship Round

(North Platte, NE) - The Grand Island Home Federal baseball team hit the gas and never looked back on Monday afternoon defeating Kearney Misko Sports 13-0. 

GI Home Federal would score seven runs in the bottom of the first. One more run came around in the second inning. Then the final touches of the game would have five GI runs in the third inning. 

Gabe Ruiz would get the win on the mound pitching all five inninngs. 

With the win GI advances to the A7 district tournament championship round on Tuesday vs Hastings Five Points Bank at 3:00 pm from Bill Wood Field in North Platte. Kearney is eliminated from the A7 tournament, but will advance to the National Division tournament in Grand Island starting on Saturday, July 26th.
