GI Library to Host Mario Birthday Party

Grand Island, Neb. — To celebrate the birthday of legendary video game character Mario, the Grand Island Public Library is inviting tweens and teens to a special celebration on March 10!

The library is celebrating Mario’s birthday for the first time ever in 2025 with a free event for kids ages 10-18. Video games, Mario-themed snacks and of course birthday cake will highlight the party.

The event starts at 2 p.m. on March 10, and a library card is not required to participate. The Grand Island Public Library serves both residents of the City of Grand Island and Hall County. Anyone who lives in or owns property anywhere within Hall County may apply for a library card at no cost. Keep up to date with all library happenings and hours online at https://www.gilibrary.org, Facebook and Instagram. You can also access your library account, search the catalog and discover our digital collections at https://gilibrary.tlcdelivers.com or download the Grand Island Public Library app on your mobile device.
