Offense: Domestic Assault
Victim: 48 yr old male, 38 yr old male, 33 yr old male Incident #: L25052138
Offender: Vanessa Hanson

Brief Narrative: Vanessa Hanson was contacted in the driveway near Pump and Pantry on Webb Rd. It was determined Vanessa used a tree branch to strike her intimate partner causing injury to his arm. Vanessa was placed in handcuffs as she began grabbing officer’s hands, tensing her arms out and pulling away from Officers. Vanessa then started kicking officers resulting in pain. Vanessa was eventually arrested for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, Resisting Arrest-2nd Offense, Assault 3rd Degree Police Officer (3 counts) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Brief Narrative: On 5-22-2025 at around 7:40 Am, GIPD officers responded to the listed above location reference a sexual assault of a 6-year-old female. During the investigation, Jonathan De Jesus Cruz-Lopez was found to have sexually assaulted the 6-year-old female. Jonathan was arrested for 2 Counts- Sexual Assault of A child and 1 Count- Felony Child Abuse.

Brief Narrative: James Akins was the driver of a vehicle contacted during a traffic stop. James' Nebraska Driver's License is suspended, and James was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. James was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Driving During Suspension.
