Brief Narrative: On 02/11/2026 officers took a theft report at LEC. The reporting party advised that he hired a known individual to do work for him, paid him $5000, and no work has been done. The case is under investigation.

Offense: Fraud Attempt Incident # L26021038
Victim: 76 yr old female

Brief Narrative: On 02/11/2026, 76 yr old female reported that an unknown person contacted her to request money, under deceptive circumstances.

Offense: Motor Vehicle Theft Incident # L26021035
Victim: 30 yr old female, Kearney
Date and Time Reported: 2/11/26 3:58 pm
Location of Incident: Legacy Apartments
Brief Narrative: On 02/11/2026, an Officer responded to 111 Public Safety Dr; LEC in reference to a theft of a vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered out of the Grand Island City Limits.
