Brief Narrative: On 05-16-2024 at approximately 0105 hours, officer observed a blue Ford Focus turning north on Sycamore St from 4th St with a defective taillight. Officer conducted a traffic stop at Sycamore St and 8th St. Vehicle continued at a slow speed turning east onto 10th St. Vehicle continued to Saint Paul Rd with officer behind with lights and sirens on. Vehicle turned south onto Saint Paul Rd stopping at 9th St. The driver was identified as Dotty Schleichardt by her Nebraska driver's license. Dotty admitted to smoking Meth and Marijuana within the hour. Officers could see a marijuana pipe in plain view in an open purse. SFST's were given to Dotty and she would show signs of impairment. Dotty would submit to a PBT and would give a passing sample. Methamphetamine (3 Grams), Drug Paraphernalia, and Marijuana (1.5 Grams) was located in the vehicle. DRE evaluation was done and she was found not able to operate a motor vehicle safely. Dotty Schleichardt was arrested for Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana Less than an Ounce and DUI Drug 1st

Offender: Leo Kent
Date and Time of Incident: 5/15/24 @ 10:29
Location of Incident: E Bismark & Pleasant View Dr
Brief Narrative: Leo Kent was contacted as a driver on a traffic stop for speeding on Bismark Rd in Grand Island, Nebraska. During a conversation with Kent, he admitted that his license might be revoked (which was later confirmed with priors). When asked if there were any firearms in the vehicle, Kent admitted to having a gun in the vehicle on the seat next to him concealed by the folding arm rest. It was learned that Kent is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a prior domestic violence conviction. The handgun was recovered loaded with four bullets in the magazine. Kent was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Driving During Revocation 2nd and Speeding 11-15mph.
