GICC Boys Golf Picks Up State Runner Up Finish

(Columbus, NE) - Grand Island Central Catholic has become a consistent contender in boys golf, capturing six team titles since the turn of the century; yesterday, the Crusaders came close but fell short to Kearney Catholic for the Class C title at Elks Country Club in Columbus. Crusaders senior Bowdie Fox led Central Catholic with a day two 75, good for second place in the individual standings, three shots behind Jackson Dunham of Kearney Catholic who helped the Stars win the Class C title. 

Omaha Westside was crowned champ in A; York took the B title; Pender won top honors in D. Preston Vilai of Grand Island tied for 21st in the Class A tournament at the Norfolk Country Club.
