Grand Island Little Theatre announces the first show of the 2025-2026 season, “Squirrel Lake”, a comedy by Brian Mitchell. Show dates are October 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 7:30PM and October 12 and 19. at 2PM at College Park Auditorium, 3180 West US Highway 34, Grand Island.

In a place called Squirrel Lake, you’re bound to meet a nut or two! Phil, Sally and Patrick gather at their family’s summer home on the shores of Squirrel Lake, Wisconsin, to read their recently deceased mother’s will. A cast of characters, including Sally’s accident prone Cubs fan husband, a nun (or is she?) and her insane brother, a psychic, supposedly sent by Mom from the great beyond, and their own out-of-control children add madness to mayhem, as they try to get everything sorted out. In the end, Squirrel Lake proves that even the unlucky in life can find happiness and contentment, if they simply look for the gifts given to them.

Cast members are Ron Jelinek as Phillip Olsen, Steffany Tartaglia as Sally Olsen King, Nick Roush as Patrick Olsen, Kaylee Gibson as Sister Mary, Laura Fentress as Joy, Jeremy Johnson as Bob King, and Barry Carlson as Lance. Steven G Spencer is the Director and Teresa Wayne is Assistant Director. Jeannee Fossberg is producer.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students 12 and under, includes tax and processing fee, and can be purchased by calling the Grand Island Little Theatre box office at 308-382-2586, at the door or online through link available on Gilt’s website githeatre.org. 

Student tickets MUST be purchased at Grand Island Little Theatre. Box office hours are Monday through Thursday 9AM to 1PM. Group discounts are available. Season tickets are available.
