Grand Island Little Theatre announces the February show of the 2025-2026 season, “The Big FIVE-OH!”, a comedy by Brian Mitchell. Show dates are February 6,7, 13 and 14 at 7:30PM and February 8 and 15 at 2PM at College Park Auditorium, 3180 West US Highway 34, Grand Island.

The wonders of whoever said life is better after fifty, better be right! George Thomas is turning 50 on Saturday, and it has been a terrible week. His dog is sick, his son is a slacker, and his daughter wants to marry a Republican. With a neurotic wife and a widowed neighbor providing more challenges than even George can overcome; this may be the worst week of his life. Through these trying days, George will discover family, the responsibilities of parenthood, and the results of his latest physical. “The Big Five-Oh” is a hilarious, sometimes touching account of a grown man, coming to terms with his age, his relationship with his son, and his future. It is the story of a middle-aged man, finally growing up.

Cast members are Steven G Spencer as George Thomas, Amy Hanquist Harris as Marie Thomas, Steffany Tartaglia as Julie Thomas, Chris Hemmer as Eric Thomas, Anthony Priester as Douglas, Teresa Wayne as Kathy Walters, and Kaylee Gibson as Sara Donovan.

Jim Truell is Director, Vicky Hoch and Nick Roush are Assistant Directors. Jeannee Mueller Fossberg is Executive Producer. Brittani Wacker is Assistant Producer and Stage Manager.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students 12 and under, includes tax and processing fee, and can be purchased by calling the Grand Island Little Theatre box office at 308-382-2586, at the door or online through link available on Gilt’s website www.githeatre.org.

Student tickets MUST be purchased at Grand Island Little Theatre. Box office hours are Monday through Thursday 9AM to 1PM. Group discounts are available.
