Grand Island Baseball Runs Away From Lincoln Southeast, 11-0

(Lincoln, NE) - The Grand Island baseball team ran away from Lincoln Southeast on Thursday night by a final score of 11-0. Gage Gannon led the Islanders with three hits and three RBI's. Lincoln Southeast would have seven errors in the contest as Grand Island only gave up two hits. GI would have a big second inning, scoring eight runs to ring up their lead to 9-0 through the first two innings. Junior, Gabe Ruiz would pitch the five innings, giving up two hits, one walk, and three strikeouts in the contest. 

GI is now 2-0 on the season and will host Omaha Central (2-1) Friday at Ryder Park in Grand Island's home opener. First pitch is set for 4:00 pm. Monday, Grand Island will host Lincoln East.
