Grand Island baseball shuts out Lincoln East

(Lincoln, NE) - The Grand Island Senior High baseball team got a fantastic pitching performance from Evan Gydesen en route to blanking Lincoln East on Monday night by a final score of 5-0. Gydesen went 6 and 2/3 innings, giving up 2 hits, 3 walks, and had 2 strikeouts. Lincoln East had 5 errors in the game with 4 total hits. The Islanders would score two runs in the first, one more in the 3rd, and two more runs in the 4th inning. Grand Island would get seven hits in the contest as they saw their record go to 3-1 on the season. Below listen to a post-game interview with Joe Wells after the Lincoln East game.
