Grand Island Girls Bowling Finishes State Runner Up

(Lincoln, NE) - The Grand Island girl's bowling team finished Class A state runner-up on Wednesday night in Lincoln at Sun Valley Lanes & Games. The Islanders would fall 3-0 to the Norfolk Panthers.
The Islanders on the day would go unblemished advancing through the tournament to the state championship match. GISH picked up an opening-round win over Fremont 3-1. In the second round, the Islanders defeated Omaha Marian 3-0. In the bracket final the Islanders then defeated and eliminated Bellevue West 3-0. Grand Island entered the day as the sixth seed in the eight-team bracket.
