Grand Island Grad Isaac Traudt Enters Portal


(Grand Island, NE) - 2022 Grand Island grad Isaac Traudt announced on Twitter Monday morning that he would be leaving the University of Virginia to "pursue an opportunity closer to my loved ones". Traudt who committed to the Cavaliers on August 28th, 2021 spent this past season red-shirting. The former Islander was a sought-after power forward with several offers including some of the big names like North Carolina, Gonzaga, and Michigan State. Nebraska and Creighton also offered. Traudt in his senior year with Grand Island averaged 23 points per game along with 8 rebounds per contest in 22 games. The Cavs finished this past season with a 25-8 record falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Furman 68-67.
