
Grand Island Man Taken Into Custody After 40 Minutes Of Negotiations

On June 7th, 2022, Officers of the Grand Island Police Department observed Rodney Mendoza run into the front door of 520 E. 16th Street in Grand Island.
Rodney was known to have four active Hall County arrest warrants.
Officers attempted to get Rodney to exit the residence for approximately 40 minutes. Rodney would eventually exit an upstairs bedroom voluntarily after negotiations.
Once he was taken into custody, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located in the bedroom that he was hiding in.
Rodney was arrested for Hall County Warrants, Possession Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession Drug Paraphernalia and Obstruct Peace Officer.
