Grand Island Public Library to Open Submission Window for Annual Community Art Show

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library is inviting area artists, ages 18 and older, to participate in its annual Community Art Show.

This non-juried exhibition provides a platform for local talent to share creativity with the community. Each artist may submit up to three pieces of artwork for display. Artwork submissions will be accepted from Wednesday, September 17, through Tuesday, September 30.

Following the exhibition, artists are asked to pick up their work between Saturday, November 15, and Saturday, November 22. Registration forms and show guidelines are available at the Library circulation desk or can be emailed upon request by contacting Jeanne Simons at (308) 385-5333, Ext. 3118 or [email protected]. Artists with questions or who need to arrange alternative drop-off or pick-up times are encouraged to contact Jeanne directly.

The Grand Island Public Library proudly serves both the City of Grand Island and Hall County. Library cards are available at no cost to residents and property owners within Hall County. In addition to its annual art show, the Library offers extensive digital resources, educational programming and cultural events for all ages throughout the year.
