Husker Highway, west of US-30, will open

June 18, 2025 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Husker Highway will be open to traffic June 21, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Werner Construction, of Hastings, will open Husker Highway, west of U.S. Highway 30 (US-30), at Monitor Road. Werner will remove the existing barricades and traffic will resume on Husker Highway through the new US-30 intersection. Road work will continue on US-30.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
