For the first time since 2018, the Nebraska men’s basketball team in is the Associated Press poll, as the unbeaten Huskers are ranked No. 23 in Monday’s poll.

The Huskers are 9-0 on the season following Sunday’s 71-50 win over Creighton and have won 13 straight games dating back to last season. The Huskers’ 9-0 start is the program’s best since the 1977-78 season, and NU can match the program’s best start in school history on Wednesday in the Big Ten opener against Wisconsin (7-2. 1-0 Big Ten).

Nebraska’s No. 23 ranking is the program’s highest ranking since Nov. 17, 2014, when the Huskers were ranked No. 21 in the AP Poll.

The Husker men and women enter the week both unbeaten with identical 9-0 marks. Nebraska is one of three programs nationally – joining Iowa State and Vanderbilt – with both programs unbeaten heading into the week.

The Huskers are in action on Wednesday night when they host Wisconsin at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. and tickets are available for the matchup by visiting Huskers.com/Tickets or calling 800-8-BIGRED during business hours (Mon-Fri., 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.).
