Juvenile dead after UTV crash

BENNET - A seven year old is dead and his brother is injured after a UTV accident near Bennet Monday afternoon.
Lancaster County Sheriff Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says his office responded to the accident shortly after 4:00 p.m. to a private property east of Bennet. Upon arrival, officers found two brothers injured after at UTV crashed from a sharp turn. The boys were gathering supplies for their tree fort.
Despite efforts by rescue personnel, the seven year old died at the scene. The nine year old brother suffered a broken leg.
Deputy Houchin thanked the services of Bennet Fire and Rescue, Hickman Fire and Rescue, StarCare and Lincoln Fire and Rescue.
