Koch Family Donates $50,000 To Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation

(Grand Island, NE) - The Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation received a generous donation this week to help with the restoration and maintenance of the windmills that reside at the state fairgrounds in Grand Island. 

The Jeff and Sue Koch family donated $50,000 to help preserve Nebraska's heritage and tradition of the windmills at the state fairgrounds. Over the years, the Koch family has been donors and supporters, along with being volunteers of the 1868 Foundation and the Nebraska State Fair. 

1868 Foundation executive director Lindsey Koepke says that the $50,000 donation will definitely cover the work that needs to be done on the windmills. The remaining funds that are left over will sit in a restricted account for the continued lifetime maintenance.
