More Than 50 Vendors Bring Unique Shopping to Aksarben Stock Show

The Nebraska State Fair announced earlier this week a robust shopping experience awaiting visitors at the 98th Annual Aksarben Stock Show, which takes place at the Fonner Park Campus Sept. 25-28. More than 50 carefully selected western vendors will offer everything from authentic home décor to custom embroidery services, creating a shopping destination alongside this historic stock show.
The event, coordinated by the Nebraska State Fair, will fill each of the red livestock barns and arena and will also have food, vendors and shopping inside Pinnacle Bank Expo Center. Families can explore an impressive array of western lifestyle products while enjoying elite youth
"Coming right off the Nebraska State Fair, into Aksarben, makes for a quick turnaround for our team, but it also draws out the fun for us – more shopping, shows and food to look forward to,” said Jaime Parr, Executive Director of the Nebraska State Fair. “Families can come out for a morning or afternoon to see these animals, watch exhibitors from 14 different states or partake in some shopping. If you enjoy seeing world class livestock and the incredible young people that raise them, you have to come join us." said Parr.
The vendor marketplace operates Friday - Sunday, providing convenient shopping opportunities for families to browse between competitions, grab a bite to eat, or find that perfect souvenir to remember their Aksarben Stock Show experience.
“There will be a lot of western wear – women’s apparel, jewelry, hats,” said Parr. “But there is also home décor, some men’s apparel, custom embroidery and much more.”
Parr says families from across the Midwest look forward to the Aksarben Stock Show each year, given its rich 98-year history and well-known facilities.
“We do receive so many positive comments about the Aksarben Stock Show and the atmosphere it provides these young exhibitors,” said Parr. “Grand Island has warmly embraced this show – filling hotel beds and restaurants each year it comes to town. It means a lot to exhibitors that they can come to a place with great amenities and even better hospitality.”
Parr says she hopes that more of the public will consider coming out to see these livestock shows and learn more about Aksarben Stock Show.
“Even if you’re not a livestock person, stop out and see these beautiful animals. Grab a bite to eat or just stroll through the barns to see how big of a production this is for the industry.”
