Northwest Announces Theoharis As New Softball Coach

(Grand Island, NE) - After 25 years of teaching at Hastings High School, Pete Theoharis is making a change.

On Monday afternoon, Northwest announced Theoharis as the new softball coach for the Vikings. He takes over for Mitch Sadd, who retired from coaching after 20 years with Northwest softball, the last six years as the head coach, winning three state championships in four years. 

Along with teaching at Hastings, Theoharis is currently an assistant softball coach for Hastings College. He had previously served as the Hastings Tigers' head softball coach until 2019. Along with his head coaching softball duties at Northwest, he will also serve as a social studies teacher for the Vikings.
