Northwest Boys Down North Platte In Second Half Surge, 59-35

(North Platte, NE) - The Northwest boys' basketball team defeated the North Platte Bulldogs on Tuesday night, 59-35. It was just a two-point lead for the Vikings, 27-25, at the halftime break.

Northwest would then hit the gas in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 18-4. Jacob Wald would have 11 points of the 13 in the third quarter. The Vikings would lead at the end of the 3rd, 45-29.

North Platte moves to 3-11 on the season and will host McCook on Friday, Jan. 23rd. Northwest has won two in a row and moves to 8-5 on the season. The Vikings will travel to Boys Town to take on the 1-11 Cowboys on Thursday, January 22nd.

Vikings will host Lakeview in the quarter-finals of the Central Conference tournament on Tuesday, January 27th, at 7:15 pm. Central Conference Tournament Bracket - HERE
