Northwest SB Handles GICC

The Northwest softball team extended its win streak to nine with an 11-0, five inning win over Grand Island Central Catholic. The Vikings used solid baserunning to put the pressure on early then broke out the big bats late.

Becca Dinkelman smashed a two-run homer. Abby Dinkelman, Jolie O'Hara and Libby Loman each had two hits.  Graclyn Simmons tossed a two hitter and struck out seven. 

It marked the 100th varsity win for seniors O'Hara, Loman, and Laiken Dorsey.

Grace Watson and Ava Delgado had the only hits for the Crusaders.

The Vikings visit North Platte on Monday on 103.1 2-Day-FM.

The Crusaders play Beatrice, McCook and the host team at the Hastings St. Cecilia quad tomorrow.
