Northwest Softball Claims Crete Invite Championship

(Crete) - Chalk up three more wins for the Northwest softball team as the Vikings claimed the Crete Invite championship on Saturday. 

The Vikings defeated Elkhorn North 11-5 and Bishop Neumann 12-0 in the first two games of the day. Northwest then matched up with Hastings in the championship game, defeating the Tigers 9-2. 

Northwest has now won 17 in a row, moving its record to 19-2. The Vikings will have their regular-season home finale on Tuesday, September 30th, hosting Gretna East. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm. Listen to the game live on 103.1 FM & 2dayfm1031.com.
