Northwest Travels To Hastings Tonight

(Hastings, NE) - The Northwest basketball teams will hit the road tonight to take on the Hastings Tigers. Both games will be on 103.1 FM & 2dayfm1031.com. 

The Northwest girls are coming off a 2-1 performance last week in the Central Conference Tournament. The Vikings won a 60-33 game over Lakeview in the quarter-finals, but fell in the semi-final contest to York last Friday, 53-48. Northwest would then bounce back and defeat Aurora in the 3rd-place game this past Saturday, 52-50. The Northwest girls come into tonight's game vs Hastings with a 9-8 record. The Hastings girls are 2-14 on the season. The Tigers' last game was on Saturday, January 31st, falling at Bennington, 69-13. The two wins this season for Hastings are vs Lincoln Northwest on December 20th, defeating the Falcons, 44-33, and then downing North Plattte, 34-27, on January 6th. 

The Northwest boys look to get back to the winning side of things after going 0-2 in the Central Conference tournament last week. Northwest would fall in the quarter-finals last Tuesday to Lakeview, 65-58. The Vikings then would drop a consolation game on Saturday to York, 67-53. 

The girls game tonight will have a tipoff time at 6:00 pm with the boys game to follow at 7:30 pm.
