Northwest Volleyball Falls In Straight Sets at Waverly

(Waverly, NE) - In a battle of Viking mascots Thursday night, Waverly swept Northwest in straight sets, 25-18, 25-14, 25-20. 

Northwest would be led by Ava Janulewicz with 9 kills. Nasya Anderson would have 8 kills, and Elli Payne would have 7 kills on the night. The Vikings would get 12 digs from Allie Nelson and 19 from Chloe Thielen. Kenna Bowman would have 23 set assists on the night. 

Waverly would be led by the Lauenstein twins. The juniors would combine for 26 kills—Gracie with 14 and Hallie with 12. Waverly would also deal out 6 ace serves in the contest. 

Waverly is now 13-1 on the season and will be back in action at Lincoln Northwest next Tuesday, September 23rd. Northwest slips to 9-4 and will host rival Aurora on Tuesday night.
