NSP Arrests Two After Body Found in Box Butte County

September 12, 2025 (alliance, Neb.)  — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested multiple people in connection with a suspected homicide in western Nebraska.

Thursday, investigators located human remains in rural Box Butte County. Investigators are working to positively identify the person. The person is believed to be the victim of a homicide.

Investigators have arrested Tamara Bingham, 26, of Alliance, for first degree murder. Investigators have also arrested Matthew Landreth, 36, as an accessory to a felony.

This is an active investigation and remains ongoing.

NSP has been assisted by the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Alliance Police Department, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, WING Task Force, the Sheridan and Box Butte County Attorneys, and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office.

NSP continues investigating a missing person case involving Ebram Anthony Sifuentes, 32, who is missing from Alliance. He had reportedly last been seen on August 27.
