Red Flag Warning Expanded for Today

Key Message #1: The Red Flag Warning has been expanded to include Franklin county in Nebraska, as well as Smith, Osborne, Jewell and Mitchell counties in Kansas. The warning is in effect from Noon until 8 PM Today.
Key Message #2:
Winds: West to Southwest winds with speeds of 15 to 25 MPH, and gusts up to 30 MPH. Relative Humidity: Values as low as 10 to 15%.
Key Message #3:
Impacts: Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Areas outside the Red Flag Warning could also have near critical fire weather conditions.
