Sanchez Signs With Concordia Soccer

(Grand Island, NE) - On Tuesday afternoon, Northwest senior Lupe Sanchez signed to play soccer at Concordia University in Seward, NE. Sanchez will join fellow senior teammate Evie Keller, who made it official on April 9th.
Lupe has been an important piece to the Northwest girls' soccer team for the last four years. She is the all-time goal scorer in school history with 110 goals. Her last goal came in the first half vs York in a 3-0 win in the B7 sub-district final. Sanchez currently has 27 goals scored this season. This year and the previous three seasons, Northwest soccer has gone 60-10 with two trips to the state tournament.
Northwest is currently 15-2 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday, May 10th, hosting a district final vs an opponent to be announced. The winner of the district final match will advance to the state tournament in Omaha.
