SBA Loan Assistance Available In Person and Online

Grand Island, Neb. — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) continues to operate an in-person disaster loan outreach center in Grand Island and will do so through the month of August.
Officials are providing essential support for residents and businesses impacted by the recent flooding. The SBA’s presence in Grand Island is part of a broader effort to ensure homeowners, renters, business owners, and nonprofit organizations have direct access to federal disaster recovery resources. While many know the SBA for its disaster assistance after flooding, its low-interest loans can also help address damage from other storms, wind, hail, and more — covering losses to real estate, personal property, inventory, equipment, and operating expenses that insurance may not fully cover.
The SBA’s local staff is available to answer questions, guide applicants through the loan process, and provide personalized assistance to help Nebraskans recover and rebuild.
"In the face of the devastating storms and flooding that have impacted Nebraska, the SBA is fully committed to supporting the recovery of our communities," said Brad Zaun, SBA Great Plains Regional Administrator. "We are on the ground, ensuring that homeowners, renters, and businesses have immediate access to our vital disaster resources. Our dedication to Nebraska is unwavering, and we work hand-in-hand with our outstanding partners, like the Women’s Business Center and the Nebraska Business Development Center, not just in times of crisis, but every single day.”
Details about the Grand Island location, hours and available resources will remain posted on the SBA’s website and at city and county offices. Residents are encouraged to visit the center, which is located at 1210 North Road in Grand Island, as soon as possible to begin the application process and learn more about the full scope of SBA disaster assistance.
"Our Nebraska SBA team is working tirelessly alongside our federal and local partners to deliver critical disaster assistance to those affected by the recent storms and flooding," said Timothy Mittan, SBA Nebraska District Director. "We want to assure every Nebraskan homeowner, renter and business owner that the SBA is here to help you navigate the recovery process and access the resources you need to rebuild and thrive."
