Severe Weather Possible

Dry conditions are expected through the daytime hours today, with southerly winds gusting near 25-30 MPH. Heat Index values of 100-102 are possible this afternoon along-south of a line from Cambridge to Beloit.
This evening and overnight, a complex of thunderstorms will be pushing southeast across most of the forecast area. The main time frame of concern looks to be between 8PM and 2AM.
Some of these storms will be strong to severe. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall rates are the primary hazard, with large hail also possible. An isolated tornado is not out of the question. This activity does look to be fairly progressive in nature.
Additional chances for strong-severe storms returns for Wednesday evening and overnight, but confidence in the timing and location details is low...as they will be dependent on how tonight's activity pans out.
