Sodbusters Split with Prospects

The Hastings Sodbusters bounced back from game one disappointment for a double header split with the Nebraska Prospects. 

The Prospects made a three run third inning stand up in a 3-1 win in the opener.

Kale Jensen hit a solo homer in the fourth for Hastings' only run. Weston Johnston was 2-4 with a double.The Sodbusters stranded 10 and had two runners caught on the bases. 

In game two, Hastings gave up three unearned runs in the first, but scored the first five innings to build an 8-3 lead. Braden Cork worked 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. Elijah Thomas pitched the final 1.1 innings to pick up his first save. 

Luke Caussey was 2-2 with an RBI triple and an RBI double. Max Israel went 3-4, knocked in two and score once. 

Hastings closes the home schedule against the Prospects at 6:35 tonight.
