Ticket Punched! Cats Baseball headed to Omaha!

For the first time in school history the St. Paul/Palmer Cats have qualified for the NSAA State Baseball Tournament in Omaha.
After falling to Adams Central 9-1 in the C-4 District Title game, the Cats needed the stars to align perfectly with losses from Auburn and Lincoln Lutheran to sneak into the 8th and final spot. Auburn led Wayne late but the Blue Devils rallied 2-1 in the bottom of the 7th. Fort Calhoun was down 4-1 to Lincoln Lutheran late but came back to win 6-5 securing the Cats' fate.
St. Paul/Palmer as the 8th seed will face a familiar foe in the #1 seeded Kernels of Central City/Centura who are 2-0 vs SPP this year winning 10-4 in Boehlus and 9-4 in St. Paul. First pitch is set for 10am at Fricke Field in Omaha.
