Buffalo County Sheriff's Report Click It or Ticket Numbers

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office recently completed a Make it Click Mobilization Selective Traffic Enforcement campaign conducted throughout Buffalo County. The campaign was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office. The activity was conducted from May 20 – June 2, 2024 with deputies accounting for 27.5 hours of additional coverage.

Sheriff’s deputies had a total of 136 traffic contacts -- 13 citations were issued for various traffic violations and 123 warning/defect cards were issued for various infractions. During the campaign there were 5 citations issued for a violation Speeding, 1 for Driving on the Shoulder, 1 arrest for Driving under Suspension, 1 citation for No Proof of Insurance, 1 citation for Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce, 2 citations for Stop Sign Violations, and 2 citations were issued for No Operators License.

The primary objective of the campaign was to increase seat belt usage rates in Buffalo County, and thereby reducing serious injuries and fatalities in traffic accidents.
