Buffalo County Sheriff's Department Makes Drug Arrest

Buffalo County Sheriff

On July 6th, 2024, deputies from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office made contact with a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the westbound lanes on Interstate 80 at mile marker 261. During the interaction, deputies made contact with two adult occupants of an orange Dodge Charger.

Upon interacting with the occupants, deputies developed reasonable articulable suspicion that criminal activity was taking place. A probable cause search of the vehicle ensued, leading to the discovery of 1.09 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and a .45 caliber handgun in the possession of the occupants.

As a result, deputies arrested an adult male and an adult female, both residents of Wyoming, for multiple offenses, including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community. This arrest is part of our ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and related criminal activities.
