Community Beautification Award Entry Window Now Open

Grand Island, Neb. — The Hall County Regional Planning Commission is now accepting nominations for 2024 Community Beautification Awards.

The awards were created in 1973 and are presented annually by the Hall County Regional Planning Commission to a business that has made special efforts to beautify the area where they operate. Awards are given to one business in the City of Grand Island and one from rural Hall County, which includes Wood River, Alda, Cairo and Doniphan.

Previous winners of the award include Bank of Doniphan, St. Francis Medical Center, Centura Hills Golf Club, and Barista’s Coffee House to name a few. Government or other tax-supported entities are not eligible for the award, but still may be recognized for their efforts.

Any person may nominate a business for the award, including the owner of the business. Each nomination needs to provide the name and address of the business along with the reason for the nomination. Once prepared, you can send in your nomination via:
