GI Children's Museum Makes EPIC Announcement

The Grand Island Children’s museum officially took possession of the former National Guard Armory Friday. As part of that, Executive Director Alison Larson announced a rebrand and an expansion of the age level to appeal to teens and tweens as well as younger kids. The EPIC Discovery Center could open in late 2025 or early 2026. 

Board president Kelly Henry says they’ve taken a big step forward in reaching a five million dollar matching grant goal. A local donor has pledge one million dollars. 

Mayor Roger Steele symbolically handed over the key to the facility.
