GI Juvenile Arrested

Offense: Terroristic Threats

Offender: 16 yr old male

Location of Incident: 1912 Lafayette Ave
Brief Narrative: A juvenile male student was contacted at Grand Island Senior High after he had threatened staff earlier in the week and was currently threatening staff. Prior to the arrival of officers, the juvenile was not allowed into the school and threatened to shoot those inside. This threat was heard by staff members. Due to previous threats and actions this concerned the staff who continued to not allow him entrance into the building for the safety of all inside. The juvenile was contacted, and an intake was completed with the assistance of Juvenile Probation. The juvenile male was arrested for Terroristic Threats and the juvenile was then transported to the Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Services facility in Madison, Nebraska.

Brief Narrative: A belated report was received that a juvenile male student at Grand Island Senior
High School threatened to shoot and kill staff in multiple different ways. This was heard by other
students and staff while a teacher was attempting to get the juvenile to complete a requested task.
This caused those that heard it to be in fear.
