Hastings College Commencement Saturday

The 138th Hastings College Commencement is this Saturday, May 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Lynn Farrell Arena (800 E. 12th St.) on campus. 

During the ceremony, the College will award undergraduate degrees to 219 students, and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees to five students. (Final numbers may change.)

The Student Speaker is graduating senior Ally Banks, an English major from Shawnee, Kansas. The Dean's List and Scott Scholar student was named a Bronco Award recipient at the Celebration of Excellence Convocation this spring. She has been an active member of Alpha Chi; the forensics team, where she was awarded All-American honors at nationals this year; the Multicultural Student Union; and Student Senate. She also served as president of the Student Association during the 2023-24 academic year and as secretary during the 2022-23 academic year.  

The College's Baccalaureate services is 6:00pm, Friday, May 17. It will be held at First Presbyterian Church (621 N Lincoln Ave.) in Hastings. Baccalaureate and Commencement will be livestreamed on the College's YouTube channel at youtube.com/hastingscollege.
