Hastings keeps playoff hopes alive
The Hastings Sodbusters still have something to play for on the final day of the regular season. The Sodbusters continued their domination of the Nebraska Prospects with a 9-1 win on Saturday. With Spearfish rallying past Fremont 10-9 in 10 innings, three teams still have a shot at the final championship series spot.
Saturday, Hastings scored multiple runs in four of the first six innings to take command. Braden Cork allowed an unearned run in 7 innings of work for the win. Luke Ray, Josh Prinner, Alexiel Delgado, and Tyler Sardelli each had two hits.
Hastings must beat the Prospects and have Fremont lose to Spearfish again to earn a championship series appearance against Casper.
