Home Fed edges Millard South

It was a successful opener for Home Federal at the Hastings/Kearney Tourney this afternoon.  Gavin Haubold's sac fly in the bottom of the sixth scored Cohen Nelson with the go ahead run and Home Fed took a 3-2 win from the Pat Hagge Patriots (Millard South). Ian Arends walked. Gage Gannon singled Ethan Foley laid down a sac bunt. Arends scored on a wild pitch. Ryan Cosler walked to set the stage for Haubold's game winner.

Millard South scored two in the first. Home Federal answered with one. Grayson Sack singled and scored on Gabe Ruiz's sac fly. Gannon and Sam Dinkleman each had two hits.

Ethan Cosler worked the first five innings. Dinkleman worked two scoreless innings for the win in relief.
